ANDREW SMITH

 

Andrew Smith joined Sichenzia Ross Friedman Ference LLP as Counsel in February 2008, and will concentrate his practice in the areas of Securities Law, Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions and General Corporate Law. Most recently, Mr. Smith was the President and General Counsel of Getty Realty Corp., a NYSE-listed company. Before, Getty Realty Corp., Mr. Smith was the VP-Real Estate of Discovery Zone, Inc., a national retail and entertainment company, and the VP-Operations and General Counsel for Influence, Inc., a medical device start-up with R&D in Israel.

In addition to his General Counsel experience, Mr. Smith was a Partner with the international law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where he advised public and private investors, investment banks, institutional lenders, real estate companies, retail companies and numerous Fortune 500 companies in connection with commercial real estate, LBO and corporate finance transactions.

Mr. Smith graduated from the University of Miami School of Law and is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York and the Federal Court in the Eastern District of New York.
